My name is Anne Root and I am the current President of the Southern Oregon University Foundation. To say that I am a proud alumna is a bit of an understatement. I have served my alma mater in whatever capacity I could since the moment I graduated.

As a small business owner I know the value that a Southern Oregon University education can provide; as a member of the Governor’s Economic Development Council I know that higher education is one of our chief economic drivers for the state; as part of the School of Business Advisory Board I get to see first hand the importance our professors place on scholarship, research and academic achievement. I see the impact that SOU has on the lives of our current students, the joy of discovery and the satisfaction of achievement.
